🎯 What Does It Do?

Never lose your items again! DeathWaypoint is a feature-rich death recovery plugin that helps players navigate back to their death locations with advanced visual effects, real-time tracking, and intelligent notifications.

When you die, DeathWaypoint saves your death location and provides multiple ways to help you find your way back:

• Automatic death compass pointing to your items
• Stunning particle effects marking your death location
• Floating hologram visible only to you
• Real-time distance tracking in your ActionBar
• Smart despawn warnings so you never lose items to the timer

✨ Key Features

🧭 Death Compass System

• Automatically given on respawn
• Points directly to your death location
• Shows detailed info when right-clicked (coordinates, distance, despawn timer)
• Enchanted glint effect for easy identification
• Auto-removed when you arrive

🎆 Advanced Visual Effects

• Soul Pillar - Vertical column of soul particles
• Rotating Flame Circle - Animated flames circling your death point
• Beacon Beam - Vertical light beam when you're close (< 30 blocks)
• Particle Trail - Guiding particles pointing toward your death (10-40 blocks)
• All particles are player-specific - only you can see them!

👻 Hologram Markers

• Floating name tag at your death location
• Shows "☠ [YourName]'s Death"
• Visible only to you
• Automatically removed on arrival

📊 Smart Distance Tracking

• Real-time distance display in ActionBar
• Color-coded by proximity:
  • 🟢 Green (< 10 blocks) - Almost there!
  • 🟡 Yellow (10-50 blocks) - Getting close
  • 🔴 Red (> 50 blocks) - Still far away
• Proximity sound effects when near (< 15 blocks)

⚠️ Item Despawn Warnings

Items despawn after 5 minutes. DeathWaypoint warns you:

• 1 minute warning - Yellow message + sound
• 30 second warning - Red urgent message + high-pitched sound
• Real-time countdown shown on compass and in /deaths list

🎉 Auto-Cleanup on Arrival

When you reach your death location (within 3 blocks):

• ✨ Celebration particles and sounds
• 🎊 Title screen message: "ARRIVED"
• 🧭 Compass automatically removed
• 👻 Hologram disappears
• 🎆 All particles stop
• 📊 ActionBar tracking ends

📋 Multi-Death Management

• Store up to 5 deaths simultaneously
• Switch between different death points
• Each death tracked with timestamp and item count
• View detailed history with /deaths

🎮 Commands

Command	Description
/deaths	List all your death locations with details
/deaths <1-5>	Set compass to specific death number
/deaths ignore	Remove current death waypoint (quick cleanup)
/deaths toggle	Disable/enable all death tracking features
/deaths status	Check death info (works even when tracking disabled)
/deaths clear	Remove all death waypoints
/deathtp [number]	Teleport to death location (requires permission)

🔄 Tracking Toggle System

Don't want death tracking during PvP practice or building? Use /deaths toggle to:

• ✅ Disable all compasses, particles, and notifications
• ✅ Still record deaths in the background
• ✅ Check deaths anytime with /deaths status
• ✅ Re-enable whenever you want

• Creative building
• Testing dangerous mechanics
• Hardcore-style gameplay

Fully customizable config.yml with options for:

• Max deaths stored (default: 5)
• Auto-give compass (default: true)
• Show coordinates on death (default: true)
• ActionBar distance tracking (default: true)
• Particle effects (default: true)
• Particle trail (default: true)
• Death holograms (default: true)
• Despawn warnings (default: true)
• Auto-clear on arrival (default: true)

🐛 Known Issues & Limitations

As this is a work-in-progress beta, here are some known limitations:

• ⚠️ May have performance issues with many simultaneous deaths
• ⚠️ Cross-dimension tracking has limited functionality
• ⚠️ Some edge cases haven't been fully tested
• ⚠️ Plugin reload may cause issues - restart recommended
