Bottled Light
adds a simple way to place invisible, adjustable light sources without cluttering builds.
When placed, a Bottled Light creates an invisible block that emits light level 15 by default. The brightness can then be reduced (diluted) by using water bottles, lowering the light level by 1 per bottle.
To make locating placed lights easy, holding a Bottled Light item causes nearby lights to emit subtle sparkle effects on the client, helping you find them without permanently revealing the block or affecting other players.
Features
- Invisible light-emitting blocks
- Starts at light level 15
- Brightness can be diluted using empty water bottles
- Each bottle reduces the light level by 1

- Sparkles are client-side only (other players do not see them)
- No mixins or custom renderers
- Lightweight and vanilla-friendly
Intended Use

- Hidden interior lighting
- Fine-grained control over light levels
