- Adjusted regen rates and allowed passive regen at lower hunger levels
- Added custom Tinkers’ Crook and Hammer tools
- Disabled zombie villager curing
- Nerfed Mob Grinding Utils recipes
- Nerfed torch mining
Full Changelog
World Changes:
- Added new Foundry City structure, a large Piglin city that has a chance to replace normal city generation. It contains a variety of foundry-related loot and is the new way to get scorched bricks. With the sieve rework (see below), it is now one of the only sources of ancient debris/netherite. (ULSTICK)
- Cities can now spawn with billboards and bus stops on the roads (ULSTICK)
- Chests in these locations can spawn with maps to nearby structures, to help players find them more easily
- Changed which mobs spawn in which structures. This change is the first step towards some more significant biome changes that are in development.
- The Oil Rig spawns mostly zombies, with moderate spawn rates of piglins, spiders, and skeletons
- The Foundry spawns mostly piglins and some blazes, with smaller chances of skeletons, wither skeletons, and magma cubes
- The Matter-Energy Research Lab spawns mostly zombies (mad scientist, villager, brute, and plague zombies), with moderate chance of witches, and tiny chances of lightning creepers, ninja skeletons, endermen, jolt blazes, and corrupted lunarians
- The Nuclear Plant spawns mostly zombies (mad scientist, plague, villager, and giant zombies), with moderate chances of creepers, wither skeletons, and unholy ghasts
- Added randomly spawning ruins (ULSTICK)
- Added new city building (ULSTICK)
- Increase chance of presses spawning in AE2 structure
- Added Mutagenic/Tainted fertilizer to Nuclear Plant chests, see the Mob Grinding Utils section below for more information
- Adjusted drop rates in city smeltery chests
Survival Changes:
There are enough important changes in this area that I’m putting them in their own category.
- Adjusted rate of hunger loss from different actions. This new system makes it less punishing on sprinting and regen, but more punishing on normal movement. Players will have to eat more food on average but will need to worry less about sprinting to travel places. Regeneration is also tweaked to make high hunger values less necessary for regeneration.
- Movement:
- Sprinting hunger exhaustion per block left alone at
0.1 - Swimming and walking in water hunger exhaustion exhaustion per block increased from
0.01to0.075 - Walking, crouching, and climbing hunger exhaustion per block increased from
0to0.05 - Flying and falling hunger exhaustion per block left alone at
0.0 - Jumping:
- Sprint jumping hunger exhaustion left alone at
0.2 - Normal jumping hunger exhaustion increased from
0.05to0.1
- Sprint jumping hunger exhaustion left alone at
- Sprinting hunger exhaustion per block left alone at
- Regeneration:
- Halved hunger drain from regenerating health
- Slow regen (when hunger bar is slightly drained)
- Slow regen now requires a minimum of 7 hunger instead of a minimum of 18, meaning you will regenerate for much longer
- Doubled rate of slow regen (now occurs every two seconds instead of every four seconds)
- Fast regen (when hunger bar is completely full)
- Halved rate of fast regen (now occurs once every second instead of twice every second)
- Movement:
- Water containers without purity tags will now have the default purity NBT added while in-inventory
- This will fix most cases where the game crashes due to smelting untagged water buckets while I wait for Thirst to fix that bug (it seems like the authors are inactive so it may be a while)
- This will fix some cases of infinite water exploits while I wait for my pull request on Ex Deorum to get approved
- This fixes some cases of water bottles taken out of Thermal machines appearing with pink textures
- As a side effect, water bottles without purity NBT will no longer stack with the ones already in-inventory when picked up and must be arranged after the pickup ends
- Falling blocks that land on partial blocks (like torches or slabs) now have a chance to break the block they land on. The chance is based on the partial block’s hardness, where blocks like torches will break instantly, but something harder like stone will have a reduced chance. This functionally disables torch-mining of dust and other falling blocks.
- Copied Ex Deorum config to default configs folder, allowing configured changes to properly show up in worlds. The following changes will only be present in newly created worlds; copy the file at
/defaultconfigs/exdeorum-server.tomlinto your world’s serverconfig folder.- Ex Deorum sieving can now be performed by Create’s deployers and other fake players
- Simultaneous sieving now only affects a 3x3 instead of a 5x5
- Fake players are limited to sieving a 1x1
- It is now possible to pick up water with a glass bottle if you have four or more glass bottles in your hand. It will consume the water block and convert all four bottles into water bottles. With less than four in your hand, pickup is cancelled because it would waste water.
- Disabled Zombie Villager curing
- Added tooltip to weakness potions and golden apples warning that zombie villager curing is disabled
Custom Items: (ULSTICK)
- Custom Tinker’s Crook Tool
- Made from an adze head and two handles
- Old crook recipes now create the Tinkers version with the appropriate materials
- Custom Tinker’s Crushing Hammer Tool
- Made from a hammer head, tool binding, and handle
- Old hammer recipes now create the Tinkers version with the appropriate materials
- Compressed hammers have a new recipe
- Crumbling Scorched Bricks for Foundry buildings
Recipe Changes:
- Sieving has been thoroughly reworked, simplifying the rewards from each sifted block and requiring a greater variety of blocks to be sifted to get all materials. You will now need to sift most block types in order to get all materials.

- Siftable Block Categories:
- Stone-based:
Stone-based blocks primarily drop ore chunks, some gems, and some misc ingredients based on their type.

- Sand
- Gravel
- Crushed Deepslate
- Red Sand
- Dirt-based:
Dirt-based blocks drop natural materials like seeds.
- Dirt
- Moss

- Stone-based:
Stone-based blocks primarily drop ore chunks, some gems, and some misc ingredients based on their type.
- Other sieving changes
- Sifting dirt and podzol no longer drop saplings, instead dropping seeds for the plant that they become. These seeds turn into the corresponding plants when placed, so this change is mostly for cosmetics/immersion.
- Ancient debris is now only found in loot chests and does not appear when sifting
- Tooltips have been added to each siftable block clarifying what they can be sifted into and how they are made
- Podzol and moss are part of the main sieving script and have slightly adjusted drop rates
- Pebbles have been removed from all sieve results because each stone type is now craftable in other ways (see below)
- Stone pebbles and flint become less common with higher mesh tiers instead of more common
- Uranium chunks now craft into uranium clumps instead of ore, requiring Mekanism processing to refine
- Ore Categories
- Updated some recipes to balance sieving changes:
- Sync cores are now crafted from lapis, diamonds, certus quartz, and an ender pearl
- The Mob Imprisonment tool now costs an ender eye instead of a ghast tear
- Building Gadgets recipes now require invar, ender pearls, and PCB segments
- 16k and 64k AE2 storage components now cost redstone instead of glowstone
- AE2 blank patterns now cost redstone instead of glowstone
- Many more stone types can be crafted, and some stone recipes have been updated for slightly more realism. If any geologists have suggestions for better recipes, feel free to let me know in the Discord.
