🎄 Merry Christmas everyone!
As a small gift to the community, I’m releasing the remake of the mod:
Version 2.0.0 – Remake
Optimizations, new visuals, new mechanics, and much more!
With this remake, I was finally able to implement many features the way I originally imagined them when the idea for this mod first came to mind. I hope both the graphical changes to the GUIs and the new mechanics feel more intuitive than the previous versions.
That said, here’s what’s new:
Item Remake
Scanner
The item texture and GUI have been completely redesigned. It keeps the same functionality as the old version, but with a brand-new visual style.
Tablet
Fully remade from scratch, with a new item texture and a completely new GUI. This time it is a real tablet, featuring apps (more will be added in future updates) and some customization options, such as changing the tablet background. One of the included apps is an integrated guide that explains how to use the mod.
Blueprint
The item texture and GUI have been redesigned. The paper version has been removed in favor of a more digital and futuristic design. Since projecting holograms from a paper blueprint felt odd, this new approach makes more sense. The GUI still contains the same elements as before, but with a new layout.
New Keybinds
New keybinds have been added to move the blueprint origin using the keyboard, with one key for each direction.
Optimizations
Several optimizations have been made, including improvements to the blueprint building animation, which should now cause less lag during construction, as well as other optimizations related to hologram rendering.
New Entity
Business Villager
A new entity has been added, enabled via the gamerule businessVillagerEnabled. This villager helps remove obstructing blocks from the build area, allowing blueprints to be constructed without obstacles.
The Business Villager only appears after a certain number of blocks are marked in red as obstructions. This mechanic may be adjusted in future updates.
Other Additions
Tag support has been added. You can now assign tags to your blueprints to better categorize them and improve search functionality. The mod includes default tags, but you can also add custom ones through the mod configuration file in the serverconfig folder.
Progress bars have been redesigned. They are no longer simple colored blocks above the hotbar, but proper progress bars.
Several bugs and crashes related to containers and other server-side mechanics have been fixed.
Before obtaining a blueprint, instead of relying only on its name, you can now preview a 3D representation of the structure directly on the tablet. Additional information is also shown, such as the total number of blocks and the X, Y, and Z dimensions.
⚠️ Warning
Some old blueprints may not work correctly with the new mechanics. If that happens, it is recommended to delete them and scan the structures again.
